How old were you when you began learning to play your instrument?

I started learning the violin when I was abut ten years old and I took up the viola as a secondary instrument when I was fourteen years old.

What do you Love about Teaching?

There are so many different aspects that I love about teaching, though my favorite is to see my student’s progress, developing their skills and technique, while having a joy filled and creative experience. Since music is a universal form of communication, this is the most satisfying thing that I have the honor to observe as a violin/viola instructor.

Where did you receive your Degrees in Music Education?

I received my B.S. in Music from Pacific Union College, with emphases in Violin and Viola performance.

Your Unique Approach to Teaching

My holistic approach takes into account each student’s interests, musical tastes and unique learning style, While incorporating manageable and consistent practice routines. I strongly believe that when learning music becomes more relevant and less abstract, joy, creativity, and curiosity follow along with noticeable motivation and weekly progress.

What are your hobbies & Interests?

In my spare time I love to garden and enjoy spending time in nature.
