How old were you when you began learning to play your instrument?

I started piano at the age of 6, but have sung for as long as I can remember!

What do you Love about Teaching?

Teaching is so meaningful to me because I can see a passion for music being passed to the students. When students smile and have fun learning to sing or play piano, I know that my lessons have been successful!

Your Unique Approach to Teaching

Taking an interdisciplinary approach to music is something I love to focus on while teaching. Students can learn to sing, practice, and perform, but what about composing for voice? How can students use their piano lessons to further their understanding of music theory? Approaching music from all perspectives is such a meaningful pursuit!.

What are your hobbies & Interests?

I love to read (currently reading “The Stormlight Archives” series by Brandon Sanderson!) and hike outdoors.
