How old were you when you began learning to play your instrument?
I started learning to play the piano when I was 6 years old. At age 10 I switched to guitar lessons, which is when I really discovered my passion for playing music. Since then I’ve continued to study more instruments and can now play 20 different instruments!

What do you Love about being an arts administrator?
After being a teacher for almost 20 years I am enjoying being in a supportive role for our talented staff and taking care of the daily school operations so they can focus on their teaching. It’s been a pleasure to not only share the knowledge and skills I’ve learned through my experience as an educator, but to also observe and learn new pedagogy from our teachers.

Bachelor of Arts in Music Education, Sonoma State University
Single Subject Teaching Credential K-12 in Music, San Francisco State University
Masters of Arts in Composition, Mills College

What do you enjoy about working at Myriad?
Myriad has such a positive and encouraging environment! The collaboration between teachers and admin to continue improving our craft is inspiring and unique to our school.

What are your hobbies & Interests?
Besides playing music, I enjoy playing chess, classic video games, biking, and going on hikes with my 2 German shepherds all over Pacifica!
