Meet Myriad’s Featured Music Lesson Students.
Learn what they love about Violin Teams!
Violin teams are fun, unique violin classes of 2-3 children
At Myriad, our beginning violinists have fun learning string foundations together. This magical class creates skilled young violinists, while forming a musical bond and a team-spirit between students, encouraging and cheering on each others’ accomplishments! The beginning journey on the violin consists of special challenges. We’ve all heard the stories, or perhaps experienced them ourselves as children taking violin lessons. Too often, young children begin violin lessons and then quickly become disengaged, and leave the experience feeling defeated, never to return to the instrument. Thankfully, this is not the trend at Myriad. The structured, collaborative Violin Team setting will really help these challenges be more appealing to our young beginners. Students will work together on foundational skills, and will also receive their own private session with the teacher. Students are learning the correct positioning of the violin, the tricky elusive bow-hold, and and how to read their violin music. Plucking, tuning and playing together fosters better ear-training younger. Students will receive a Violin Beginner Kit with helpful tools for parents. Helpful guidelines include take-home props and tools, a variety of activity sheets, theory and music books. Even brand new beginners will be able to jump into the action on their first day! The best choice ~ awesome violin lessons for children!

Self Study for Serious Singers, Musicians, and Dancers
Hi everyone! We hope you’re all as excited for Thanksgiving as we are! Today’s post is going to be a quick one, but a good one. Self study is an often overlooked technique for improving as a musician, dancer, or singer. Luckily, it’s a pretty easy thing to do. Here’s how! Practice In Front
Team Students exhibit prolonged interest in the Violin long-term
For over a decade we’ve observed that Violin Team Students tend to be more engaged and resilient, over young children who jump immediately into a private lesson too soon. Violin Teams are fun as well as provide a unique classes where students learn correct technique and postures from the start. Additionally they learn to read music, and have fun with our collaborative music theory & skill games. Individual home-play assignments are tailored to the child. Therefore students progress at their own rate.
100’s of Practice Violin Videos created by Myriad teachers especially for our students
Along with teaching our young students how to become good string players from the beginning with healthy, lasting violin and viola technique, we provide as many tools as possible to engage happy, productive home practicers. We’ve created 100’s of practice videos for our students, recorded at slower practice tempos with a model of relaxed, tension-free neck, shoulders, arms, and hands with relaxed, healthy bow technique. Avoid going down the YouTube rabbit hole of poorly executed string instrument videos, tumbling along at speeds that mislead impressionable students. Learn alongside these Myriad videos, a great practice aid for our late elementary – late intermediate students.
Every child feels successful
Young violinists are motivated to work towards their own personal goals, while still being part of a team experience. This is especially important to beginning violinists. Certainly the beginning stages of a string instrument can be frustrating, if not presented in a child-friendly format. This is the best choice for all Young Musicians graduates who have completed Levels 1, 2 and Superstars and wish to transition into playing the violin.
Violin Team benefits are numerous
