Myriad is more than just a School of Music and Dance. The support that the teachers and staff give each other makes it a close family which provides a welcoming environment of growth and artistry. The curriculum does an outstanding job of training students in the many different aspects of music that fall into the realms of technique, theory and musicality. Teachers are given flexibility within the curriculum to address the individual needs of each student and are encouraged to think critically about their approach to each student’s needs ensuring a well rounded musical education. Even having moved away, my teaching is still highly informed by my experiences at Myriad and the training and support that I received there.

Working at Myriad was such an enriching experience for me. The teaching staff is unmatched in creativity, passion, and skill–and they have so much FUN! Attending workshops, creative brainstorming sessions, and informative meetings helped me stay fresh in my teaching methods and philosophy. I moved from the Bay a more confident and passionate teacher than I came. I am so thankful for the time I had at Myriad.

Working at Myriad will teach you how to stand out from other music teachers in the Bay Area. The staff is dedicated to making sure you have the tools and training to make music memorable and exciting for kids. There are two clinics you can attend each year, so you’ll develop new teaching methods that won’t allow your teaching to go stale. The school also has games to introduce or review music concepts. Who doesn’t like to have fun while learning?! The biggest headache as a teacher must be the administrative work. Dealing with payments and scheduling makeups is always a nuisance. Rest assured that the front desk staff has everything covered, allowing you to devote your time to teaching the next Mozart. With a well thought-out curriculum and constant communication with other teachers, children receive a rich music education. Whether your student is brand new or experienced, you’ll have a great group of people who you can work with to guide and help you grow.

I cannot tell you how glad I am to work at Myriad! I always tell people when they ask me that it is helping me to be a better teacher and allowing me great opportunities to guide students, which is a very fulfilling combination.

I had the opportunity to teach piano and piano team at Myriad and I truly loved my experience there. Having worked on my own prior to Myriad, I knew how much time it took to build a clientele and how difficult it could be to maintain it. By working at Myriad, I was able to let them know of my availability and have my hours easily filled with students. I always felt that my goals as a teacher and their goals as a school were aligned in that we wanted students to truly love and have fun with music. I appreciated that my teaching style and view points were clearly valued and encouraged. Myriad created an environment of learning not only for the students but for the teachers. We were given various opportunities throughout the year to share our experiences and ideas and gain from each other. It was a joy working among such qualified and capable staff. I couldn’t think of a better environment to teach in

Honestly, I feel very happy working at Myriad. My schedule is organized and the teaching work is very smooth. I get along well with the other teachers and students and parents. The directors’ suggestions are very helpful and improve my teaching. I can see the good results in my students. I look forward to working with the other guitar teachers as a team for future performances and concerts at Myriad

I’m so glad to see how Myriad has evolved and continues to grow! I often think of my time there and how much I learned from you and appreciated all the support from the Myriad family. I came across cards and testimonials from students and parents from my Myriad days. It was nostalgic to read through them. I have you to thank for being a part of that journey. I’m realizing that I feel compelled to be of service to other people and have done so directly and indirectly with these and other job experiences.
