I started piano at five years old.

What do you Love about Teaching?
Giving back to the next generation, sharing my musical obsession, contributing to the musical community, and secretly learning from my students!

Where did your receive your Degrees in Music / Dance Education
I received a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Jazz Keyboard from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) in Valencia, CA. I received a Bachelor of Music (BM) in Jazz Studies from the California Jazz Conservatory in Berkeley, CA.

Your Unique Approach to Teaching
While it can often be helpful to have a pre-planned path to stick to, I deeply value improvisation and spontaneity in teaching. Lessons should be tailored in the moment to address both the unique challenges of students and their unique interests.

What do you enjoy about teaching at Myriad?
I enjoy the already well-established, successful system, within which I can mold my teaching style.
