I started singing at age 5

What do you Love about Teaching?
I enjoy sharing my love of singing with others and am attentive to each student’s goals. I hope to create a space where students of all ages can embrace their unique voices.

Your Unique Approach to Teaching
I believe that the more one works on developing their voice, the more one expands the horizons of self-expression. In this light, the voice can be a direct channel to the heart.

What do you enjoy about teaching at Myriad?
I enjoy being part of a school with many different instrumentalists and dancers. I also love being able to learn more about teaching pedagogy so I can become a better teacher.

What are your hobbies & Interests?
Hiking, Dancing, Songwriting

Is there anything else you’d like your students to know about you?
I attended the University of California, Santa Cruz where I studied music and voice working closely with Prof. Sheila Willey. I became proficient in music theory and vocal technique, specializing in classical and baroque music. During this time, I performed in several operas across California. Some of my roles included Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro, Ino in Semele, and Mustardseed in The Fairy Queen. Alongside my classical training, I have vast experience with musical theater. I won Best Actress in a Musical and Triple Threat Award from the Culver City Academy of Visual and Performing Arts. I discovered my passion for vocal education through my years teaching at Kids On Stage, a Los Angeles-based musical theater company that has appeared on CNN, HBO, and Showtime.
