Your Unique Approach to Teaching
I love putting an emphasis on playing duets and chamber music, since most violinists / violists perform in group situations. I love showing students exciting new classical music they’ve never heard, but I also love learning fun pop songs and playing them together with piano. I love to show my students the wide diversity of music found in many genres and how versatile the violin and violas are as instruments.
What do you enjoy about teaching at Myriad?
There are so many passionate teachers and students here. It’s a great sized music school and I love that a lot of my students know each other from school and play in orchestra together as well. It’s a very kind and supportive community.
